Puuhonua O Honaunau (Place of Refuge) NHP, western coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, Hawaii. The adjacent Honaunau Bay is a great snorkeling spot under calm conditions and is often called "two-step" because of the lava ledge used for entry. The bay is frequented by turtles (it is possible to see 4 or more in one snorkel), the rare lagoon triggerfish, yellow tangs, gigantic trumpetfish, and many more species.
