Road to Hana
Hana town lies near the far eastern tip of Maui, and the Hana Highway runs down the northeast coast to reach it. This is the windward coast of the island, so it receives the bulk of the rain that comes to Maui. All this rain and weather has created a lush green coastline of steep cliffs brimming with tropical waterfalls. In all, the Hana highway has more than 50 one-lane bridges and over 600 curves. Click the first photo for an overview tour of the special highway, or use the menus on this page to explore further.
