At certain times of the month, the Onizuka Astronomy Center leads a caravan to the top of the mountain for a tour. Conditions here (high elevation and cold) can be harsh, so consult a doctor before attempting this trip and bring appropriate clothing. Also, you MUST provide your OWN 4x4 vehicle for this trip, and you can only drive to the top of the mountain legally if you rent a 4x4 from Harper's car rental.
