A few miles northeast of Hanauma Bay is Sandy Beach. Sandy Beach is known for swimming during the calm summer months, but conditions can be very dangerous when the surf is up because the beach is fairly exposed to the ocean. You can often spot experienced body surfers riding the waves here.
