Waikiki Aquarium is located on the coast around the middle of Kapiolani Park at the southeastern end of Waikiki. It is a bit far away from the hotels but you can walk here (with real shoes). Kapiolani Park is generally o.k. in the daylight, but I would think twice about walking there alone after the sun goes down. The aquarium is small, but well done and worth a visit if you are looking for a change of pace from beach life.
