Also near Waimea Beach on the north shore of Oahu is Waimea Valley Historical Nature Park (formerly Waimea Falls Audubon Center). This nature preserve affords visitors the chance to explore interesting tropical plants and flowers, rare birds, and Waimea Falls. The park is organized as a series of long trails leading to the falls, with many interpretive signs, displays, and plantings along the way.
