North of Black Rock is another beautiful beach called Alii Kahekili Nui Ahumonu in Hawaiian. It is known as Kahekili Beach after King Kahekili, who ruled Maui and Oahu from 1749-94, but the locals sometimes call it Airport Beach or North Beach. Here you will find great facilities, parking, and an incredible view of the sunset over Lanai, with Molokai off to your right. The snorkeling is not nearly as good as Black Rock, but there are still some pretty fish to see.
