Starting from the Poipu Beach area, we head roughly westward along Kauai's south coast. This native Hawaiian hibiscus is blooming in McBryde Garden in south Kauai, part of the National Tropical Botanical Garden system. McBryde Garden is a beautiful valley that you experience on foot. Buses take visitors down to the valley and pick them back up again throughout the day. Kauai is nicknamed "the Garden Isle" because of the plethora of splendid flowers and fruits that grow so well in Kauai's rich volcanic soil and plentiful rain.
