Oahu Gardens
The county of Honolulu sponors an outstanding system of gardens located throughout the island of Oahu. Foster Garden is an intimate green retreat located right in downtown Honolulu. Koko Crater Garden near Hanauma Bay is probably the best place in the state to see the beautiful plumeria tree during its seasonal bloom. Lyon Arboretum above Honolulu is a cool, wet, tropical jungle of blooming flowers. The two other gardens in the county system are Hoomaluhia Garden in eastern Oahu and Wahiaha Garden in central Oahu.
