We now round Kahuku Point, the northernmost tip of Oahu, and head west. Even though this is the northwest coast of the island, it is commonly known as the North Shore. These are the famous beaches where in the winter when the surf is up, the surfers go out. This surfer is enjoying the waves somewhere near Sunset Beach Park on the north shore.
