By now we have left the crowds far behind. Here on the northeast coast you can still find solitude if you seek it out. This quiet spot is in the Malaekahana State Recreation area, a mile-long beach near the small town of Kahuku. Camping is available here and is some of the best on Oahu. In the distance you can see the Moku Auia Seabird Sanctuary (Goat Island).
