Diamond Head State Monument is located at Diamond Head crater just east of Waikiki and Honolulu on Oahu island. The main attraction of this monument is the hiking trail that leads you up to the rim of the crater and a nice observation point looking out over the ocean, Waikiki, Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor. This trail takes a few hours of moderate walking through very dry, hot terrain, so bring plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear.
