Hamoa Beach is a small beach just beyond Hana on Haneoo Road off the Hana Highway. Public access is mandated by state law, but the Hotel Hana uses the beach extensively and has special supplies provided only for their guests. Swimming is good here in the summer, but harsher winter weather can sometimes create dangerous conditions. Coconut-topped Alau island is located just offshore.
