The first stop on the road up to the summit is Hosmer Grove. Hosmer Grove is a small manmade forest full of birds. There is a 0.5 mile loop trail that winds through the forest, allowing you to watch the birds in the trees high above. Hosmer Grove is located a short distance off the main road shortly after the park entrance; watch for the signs and turn left.
