The Maui Ocean Center Aquarium is a very good aquarium in Maalaea, on the way to Lahaina. If you are planning to go snorkeling at Black Rock, Honolua, Molokini, or Lanai, however, you might want to skip this, as many of the species here are the same ones you can see when you snorkel. For families with young children and people who aren't planning to snorkel, this is a great place to sample the underwater diversity of Hawaii without getting your feet wet.
