Puu Pehe Cove
Puu Pehe Cove (also called Shark Cove) is named after the solitary rock formation just offshore. This formation is called Puu Pehe Rock or Sweetheart Rock. Legend has it that a jealous husband confined his wife here in a cave until she died. He was then so overcome with grief that he buried her on top of the rock, then jumped off into the water. Scientists have confirmed that there is no evidence of human remains on the stone and the legend is likely just a legend. Just offshore and underwater from Puu Pehe is Cathedrals, one of the top dive spots in the world. Puu Pehe Cove is around the coast from Hulopoe Beach Park via a short trail.
