Just past Puu Hinahina lookout, the road enters Kokee State Park. Kokee State Park is adjacent to and just north of Waimea Canyon State Park. Camping in this quiet mountain retreat is available by advance reservation. Inside the southern part of the park is the trailhead for the Halemanu Trail, which leads to 4 multi-mile trails into the canyon.
