A few miles east of Kee Beach on Kauai is the beautiful town of Hanalei and Hanalei Bay. Hanalei Bay has a wide flat beach and beautiful views of the mountains beyond. There are good restaurants and lodging here, but this area is not quite as frequented as the nearby Princeville Resort. It is not unusual to see groups of people canoeing here.
