Another great place to watch the sunset in Honolulu is from Puu Ualakaa State Wayside. Puu Ualakaa is located up on a hill above the city, and offers sweeping views of Diamond Head, Waikiki, downtown Honolulu, and even Pearl Harbor west of Honolulu. From this vantage point the sun will typically set into western Oahu, not the ocean, but the view spread before you still makes it an unforgettable experience.
