Moving south to the island of Oahu, we begin with Ala Moana Beach Park west of Waikiki and work our way around the island counterclockwise. Ala Moana beach park is located in Honolulu just west of Waikiki and is a favorite hang-out for locals. The swimming is good here, and beginners sometimes surf when conditions are right.
