This is a lagoon triggerfish in the Waikiki Aquarium. Waikiki's aquarium is not in my top-ten list of all aquariums, but it is worth an hour if you want a break from the beach. Especially interesting are the Hawaiian species they have. The fish in the photo is common in certain areas of the Big Island, but is somewhat rare around Oahu. However, the similarly-colored Picasso triggerfish is quite easy to spot at Hanauma Bay and other top snorkeling areas.
