Looking northwest from the observation tower on the rim of Diamond Head, we now see the outside of the pillbox we were in a moment ago as well as a great view of Honolulu. Kapiolani Park is the large greenspace in the center of the photo, and beyond that are Waikiki, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, and, in the very distance, the Waianae Mountains, the western of 2 mountain ranges on Oahu. From here, we retrace our 0.7 mile path back down to the parking lot.
