Soon we reach the Puu Ulaula Overlook, just below the true summit. The main visitor center for the park is located here, and there are excellent views into the crater. In the morning before the sunrise, this lot and the smaller lot at the true summit fill up very quickly in the darkness. Get here early, very early, if you want to be guaranteed a spot.
