Just north of Lahaina, in the town of Kaanapali, is a prime swimming and snorkeling area, Kaanapali Beach. The snorkeling is best around Black Rock, the stone that juts out into the water in the distance in the photo. Parking can be a bit of a trick here, unless you arrive early (before 9 a.m.) and are able to get one of the twenty spots in the parking garage between the Sheraton and the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. (Pay parking is also available at Whaler's Village nearby.)
